Szkolny koordynator projektu/The school coordinator of the project:
Ms. Benthe Beckmann
Jesteśmy szkołą podstawową usytułowaną w centrum Hamburga. Do naszej szkoły uczęszcza 320 uczniów różnych narodowości (niemieckiej, tureckiej, portugalskiej, gańskiej, irańskiej, japońskiej,..) i z różnych środowisk społecznych. Mamy klasy integracyjne z uczniami o specjalnych potrzebach edukacyjnych/ z problemami w nauce. Indywidualizujemy pracę z nimi.
Sport odgrywa ważną rolę w naszej szkole. W trakcie zajęć i popołudniami oferujemy uczniom możliwość uprawiania różnych dyscyplin sportowych (hokej, lekka atletyka, piłka nożna, koszykówka, taniec).
We are a primary school situated in the city centre of Hamburg. We have about 320 pupils with various nationalities (e.g. German, Turkish, Portuguese, Ghanaian, Iranian, Japanese...) and different social backgrounds. Our classes integrate pupils with special needs/learning difficulties. We focus on the individual and its uniqueness.
Sports play a big part in our everyday learning. During the whole school day (including the afternoons), we offer the pupils different kind of sports (e.g. hockey, athletics, football, basketball, dancing). Our lunch break offers a lot of time for the pupils to get into action. They can play on our renovated school yard behind the gym where there is enough room to play ball games, run or climb the walls.
Living in a big city and keeping the various social backgrounds and nationalities in mind, the pupils have to learn about a healthy way of living and eating. The pupils are tempted by all the fast food restaurants in town and are mostly not familiar with preparing own healthy meals.
We would love to take a participating role in the Comenius project as we have no experience yet. We are exciting to get into contact with all the European schools. It is important for us to offer the children real-life communication and show them the importance of learning a foreign language.
