Nasza szkoła zachęca uczniów do uprawiania sportu. Współpracujemy z drużynami: rugby Newcastle Falcons, koszykówki Durham Wildcats, zespołem the Lions of Zululand, uczącym naszych ucznioów tańczyć oraz klubem biegaczy the Sedgefield Harriers. W naszej szkole bardzo dbamy o ekologię. Założyliśmy Ekologiczny Ogród, w którym uprawiamy nasze własne owoce i warzywa. Otrzymaliśmy Srebrną Odznakę dla Szkół Promujących Ekologię oraz nagrodę Zielone Drzewo, przyznaną przez Towarzystwo Woodland. Regularnie bierzemy udział w akcji Big Tidy Up, polegającej na sprzątaniu i dbaniu o czystość w naszej miejscowości.
West Cornforth Primary school is a mixed primary school in the North East of England, 6 miles for the City of Durham. We have pupils of different nationalities and religions but our main religion is Christian. We enjoy working with schools in other countries and we have had a successful link with a school in Amiens, France. We have a Healthy Schools Award. We believe it is so important to promote living a healthy balanced lifestyle in order to equip our children with the knowledge and aspiration to do well, achieve and lead healthy lives in their society. Our school encourages the children to enjoy sport. We have many outside organizations working with us, for instance Newcastle Falcons Rugby Team and Durham Wildcats Basketball team. Our students are receiving dance training from the Lions of Zululand and are being taught athletics from the Sedgefield Harriers running club. At our school we are incredibly dedicated to environmental issues. We have created an Eco Garden and grow our own fruit and vegetables. We are now a Silver Award Eco School and also have an award from the Woodland Trust as a Green Tree School. We regularly complete Big Tidy Ups in the local community to try to encourage then to take care of their village.
